Sara Davies founded Crafter's Companion before joining the British Dragon's Den programme in series 17.
Davies created Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a student at York University. The business began with a product designed to help crafters make envelopes, then grew into an international craft-supplies company selling tools, materials and related products.
She joined Dragon's Den in 2019 for series 17, bringing specialist experience in product development, direct selling and the craft market. Her route into business is often highlighted because she started the company while still at university rather than after a conventional corporate career.
Crafter's Companion is not the name of a television spin-off or investment fund. It is the company Davies founded and led. The specific Dragon connected to that founding story is Sara Davies.
