Kelly Hoppen replaced Hilary Devey on the British television series Dragons' Den.
Interior designer Kelly Hoppen joined the Dragons' Den panel in 2013, taking the place of entrepreneur Hilary Devey. Devey had joined the programme during its later early years and became known for her direct questioning and interest in growing businesses.
The change formed part of the show's regular rotation of investors. Dragons' Den does not keep one permanent panel: investors leave, take breaks or are replaced, meaning the composition varies by series. This has led to frequent confusion between replacement announcements and the dates when individual Dragons first appeared.
Hoppen brought a background in interior design, product development and branding to the panel. Devey was associated with the haulage business Pall-Ex. Neither should be confused with Rachel Elnaugh, an original Dragon who left much earlier, or James Caan, another former investor who departed before Hoppen's arrival.
