Which Dolce & Gabbana fragrance, launched in 2001, is associated with a blue bottle and a Mediterranean style?

The story behind the answer

Dolce & Gabbana launched Light Blue in 2001.

Light Blue was created by perfumer Olivier Cresp and became one of the fashion house’s best-known fragrances. Its branding uses a bright blue visual identity and Mediterranean imagery, connecting the perfume with the sea, sunlight, and Italian summer settings.

The women’s version is generally described as a fresh, fruity, and floral fragrance. Citrus and apple impressions contribute to its light character, while floral and woody elements give the composition structure. The men’s version, also called Light Blue pour Homme, followed in 2007 and became a major success in its own right.

Light Blue should not be confused with The One, another important Dolce & Gabbana fragrance line. The One was introduced in 2006 and has a warmer, more opulent identity. The shared brand does not mean the two names refer to different editions of one perfume.
