Which Doechii song won Best Music Video at the 2026 Grammys?

Doechii’s “Anxiety” won Best Music Video at the 2026 Grammys.

The song has an unusual origin story. Doechii first uploaded an early version through her COVEN MUSIC sessions in 2019, years before it became a major release. The recording draws on Gotye and Kimbra’s “Somebody That I Used to Know,” giving its tense, repetitive instrumental a recognizable but transformed foundation.

The official music video arrived on April 18, 2025, and was directed by James Mackel. Its visual language turns anxiety into a looping, nightmarish experience while also looking back at Doechii’s earlier creative life. The video’s sitcom-inspired touches and stylized choreography helped make it more than a conventional performance clip.

This award is often confused with Best Rap Song or Best Rap Performance, both of which also involved “Anxiety” during the 2026 Grammy cycle. Best Music Video evaluates the visual work and its creators, so the win recognizes the video as a production—not merely the audio track.
