Kendrick Lamar received nine nominations at the 2026 Grammys.
The nine-nomination total made Lamar the leading nominee for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. The nominations were announced in November 2025, and the ceremony took place on February 1, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Lamar’s recognition covered multiple aspects of his work, including performances, recordings, and shared songwriting or production credits. His nominations included major honors connected with GNX and the song “Luther,” his collaboration with SZA. Grammy nomination totals can therefore span several categories rather than representing only solo album or song appearances.
The total is easy to confuse with the figures for other leading nominees. Lady Gaga, Cirkut, and Jack Antonoff each received seven nominations, while Bad Bunny and Sabrina Carpenter were among those with six. Lamar converted his strong showing into five wins, including Record of the Year and Best Rap Album.
