Which Dodgers player was the 2025 NLCS MVP?

Shohei Ohtani was the Dodgers player who won the 2025 National League Championship Series MVP award.

Ohtani earned the honor after the Dodgers swept the Milwaukee Brewers in four games. His defining performance came in Game 4, when he hit three home runs and pitched six scoreless innings, striking out 10 batters. It was one of the most remarkable individual postseason games in MLB history.

The award capped Ohtani’s first season pitching in the postseason for Los Angeles after returning to the mound from elbow surgery. He contributed as both a designated hitter and pitcher, making the NLCS MVP particularly notable because it reflected his two-way impact rather than merely his offensive production.

A common mix-up is confusing the NLCS MVP with the World Series MVP, which is awarded for the championship series that follows. Ohtani’s NLCS award recognized his performance against Milwaukee and helped send the Dodgers to the World Series.
