Homecoming is the documentary film about Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella performance that premiered on Netflix in 2019.
Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé was released on Netflix on April 17, 2019. It combines concert footage from the Coachella performances with behind-the-scenes material showing rehearsals, production planning, and the physical demands of preparing the large-scale show.
The concert centered on a marching-band and step-show aesthetic and included a broad cast of musicians, dancers, and performers. Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined Beyoncé during the set, creating one of the film’s most discussed reunions.
The documentary’s full title includes “A Film by Beyoncé,” but Homecoming is the commonly used short title and the canonical answer. It should not be confused with Life Is But a Dream, a 2013 documentary about Beyoncé’s life and career.
