Which designers won the 2026 Tony Award for Lighting Design of a Musical for The Lost Boys?

Jen Schriever and Michael Arden won the 2026 Tony Award for Lighting Design of a Musical for The Lost Boys.

Schriever and Arden shared the lighting prize for The Lost Boys, a musical that ranked among the season’s most nominated Broadway productions. Their award recognized the use of light to shape the production’s atmosphere, focus, transitions, and visual rhythm.

The nominees also represented Chess, The Rocky Horror Show, Schmigadoon!, Cats: The Jellicle Ball, and Ragtime. The Lost Boys’ win was one of its four Tony Awards, alongside acting and scenic-design prizes.

Michael Arden is also known as a director and performer, but this Tony was awarded for lighting design. The category should not be confused with Scenic Design of a Musical, which went to Dane Laffrey for the same show, or Costume Design of a Musical, won by Qween Jean for Cats: The Jellicle Ball.
