Prince Caspian was the C.S. Lewis Narnia novel published in 1951 after The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Prince Caspian: The Return to Narnia was published by Geoffrey Bles on 15 October 1951. It is the second-published book in The Chronicles of Narnia and brings the four Pevensie children back to Narnia, where they find that centuries have passed there while only about a year has passed in their own world.
The children help Prince Caspian oppose his uncle, King Miraz, who has seized the throne. The story includes the return of older Narnian traditions and the restoration of rightful rule.
Publication order and internal chronology can cause confusion. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader followed Prince Caspian in 1952, while The Horse and His Boy is set earlier in Narnia’s internal timeline but was published in 1954.
