Which C.S. Lewis book collects the radio talks first broadcast under the title Broadcast Talks?

The story behind the answer

Mere Christianity collects C.S. Lewis’s radio talks that were first broadcast under the title Broadcast Talks.

Lewis delivered the talks for the BBC during the Second World War, beginning in 1941. They were intended to explain basic Christian beliefs in language accessible to listeners from different denominations. The broadcasts were later revised and published in stages: Broadcast Talks, Christian Behaviour, and Beyond Personality.

These sections were eventually collected as Mere Christianity in 1952. The title refers to the shared core of Christian belief rather than to one particular church tradition. Lewis discusses morality, belief, Christian doctrine, and the implications of choosing Christianity.

The book is often confused with The Four Loves because both works grew out of broadcasts. The Four Loves came from a later 1958 series and was published separately in 1960.
