Which cruise ship introduced Royal Caribbean’s first onboard zip line?

The story behind the answer

Oasis of the Seas introduced Royal Caribbean’s first onboard zip line.

The ship entered service in 2009 as the first Oasis-class vessel. Its zip line crosses the open-air Boardwalk neighborhood, sending riders above the ship’s aft section. The attraction was part of Royal Caribbean’s effort to make the ship itself a destination filled with large-scale activities rather than simply a means of transport.

Oasis of the Seas also introduced the Central Park neighborhood, which contains living plants, pathways, restaurants, and shops. Its design divided the upper structure around an open-air interior space, creating distinct neighborhoods for different kinds of passengers.

Allure of the Seas followed as the second Oasis-class ship, so it is sometimes incorrectly credited with the first zip line. The feature was already present on the original Oasis of the Seas.
