Which country won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 with Loreen’s song “Tattoo”?

The story behind the answer

Sweden won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 with Loreen performing “Tattoo.”

The final took place in Liverpool, United Kingdom, on 13 May 2023. Loreen received 583 points, combining 243 points from national juries with 340 points from the public televote. Finland finished second with Käärijä’s “Cha Cha Cha.”

The victory made Loreen the second performer to win Eurovision twice. She had previously won for Sweden in 2012 with “Euphoria.” Sweden’s 2023 result also gave the country its seventh Eurovision victory, tying Ireland’s record total.

The contest was hosted by the United Kingdom on behalf of Ukraine, which had won in 2022. Ukraine’s public broadcaster remained closely involved, and Ukrainian cultural elements appeared throughout the show, but the United Kingdom served as host because of the war in Ukraine.
