Which country won Eurovision 2024 with Nemo’s song “The Code”?
Answer
Switzerland
Answer
Switzerland
Switzerland won the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with Nemo’s “The Code”.
Nemo represented Switzerland at the grand final in Malmö, Sweden, on 11 May 2024. “The Code” combined pop, rap and operatic elements, and its performance prominently featured Nemo balancing on a rotating circular platform. The entry won the jury vote and finished first overall.
The victory gave Switzerland its third Eurovision win. The country had previously won the inaugural contest in 1956 with Lys Assia and again in 1988 with Céline Dion. Nemo also became the first openly non-binary winner of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The result is sometimes confused with Croatia’s placement because Croatia led the public televote. However, Eurovision’s final ranking combines jury and public results, and Switzerland finished first overall. The host city was Malmö, but the winning country was Switzerland.
