Biosyn Genetics is the rival genetic-engineering company revealed in Jurassic World Dominion.

In the film, Biosyn operates a dinosaur sanctuary in the Dolomites of Italy and presents itself as a scientific organization studying prehistoric animals. Its research program is led by Lewis Dodgson, who secretly uses genetically engineered giant locusts to manipulate agricultural markets.

Biosyn is connected to the earlier Jurassic Park story through Dodgson, who originally appears as a corporate representative seeking dinosaur embryos. The character was played by Campbell Scott in Dominion, replacing the role’s earlier film performer.

The company is not the same as InGen, the organization responsible for creating the original park’s dinosaurs. InGen’s assets and scientific legacy remain important to the franchise, but Dominion places Biosyn at the center of the final trilogy film’s corporate conspiracy.
