Which company did Dragons' Den investor Tej Lalvani serve as chief executive of?

The story behind the answer

Dragons' Den investor Tej Lalvani served as chief executive of Vitabiotics.

Vitabiotics is a British company that develops and sells vitamins, minerals and other nutritional supplements. It was founded by Lalvani’s father, Kartar Lalvani, and became the business platform through which Tej developed his commercial career.

Tej Lalvani joined the Dragons' Den panel in 2017. His background in a large consumer-health company gave him particular experience in branding, retail distribution and international sales when assessing pitches.

Vitabiotics should not be confused with the mobile-phone businesses associated with Peter Jones or the digital-marketing company associated with Steven Bartlett. Those companies belong to different Dragons’ business histories, while Vitabiotics is the defining corporate connection for Tej Lalvani.
