Which company did Dragon Peter Jones found in 1998 as a mobile-phone distributor?

Peter Jones founded Phones International Group in 1998 as a mobile-phone distributor.

Phones International Group was established by Peter Jones during the rapid expansion of the mobile-phone market. The company supplied mobile phones and related services and became an important part of Jones’s entrepreneurial history before his television career made him widely known.

Jones has interests spanning technology, telecommunications, media, property and consumer businesses. His background in mobile communications helps explain why pitches involving technology, retail and scalable products have often been associated with his business persona on Dragon's Den.

Phones International Group is not the same company as Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone or the many independent mobile-phone retailers that operate in Britain. Those names are familiar in the same sector, but the company specifically founded by Jones in 1998 was Phones International Group.
