Nvidia created the H100 graphics processor used in artificial-intelligence computing.
The H100 is a data-center graphics processing unit based on Nvidia’s Hopper architecture. It is designed for demanding workloads such as machine learning, scientific computing, and large-scale artificial-intelligence model training and inference.
Nvidia was founded in 1993 by Jensen Huang, Chris Malachowsky, and Curtis Priem. The company initially became known for graphics processors used in personal computers and video games. Its CUDA software platform later allowed developers to use Nvidia GPUs for general-purpose parallel computing.
Demand for AI infrastructure helped make Nvidia one of the world’s most valuable companies by market capitalization. The H100 is not a consumer graphics card and should not be confused with Nvidia’s GeForce gaming products. It is a data-center accelerator aimed at enterprise and research workloads.
