Nate Bargatze won Best Comedy Album at the 2026 Grammys for “Your Friend, Nate Bargatze.”
The album competed against Bill Burr’s “Drop Dead Years,” Sarah Silverman’s “PostMortem,” Ali Wong’s “Single Lady,” and Jamie Foxx’s “What Had Happened Was…”. Bargatze’s win gave him his first Grammy victory after a previous nomination for “The Greatest Average American.”
Best Comedy Album is one of the Recording Academy’s oldest categories. It began in 1959 as Best Comedy Performance, changed names several times, and has recognized stand-up, spoken-word, and musical comedy recordings. Since 2004, the award has again been presented as Best Comedy Album.
A common mix-up is confusing the performer with the album title: “Your Friend, Nate Bargatze” is the winning recording, while Nate Bargatze is the winning comedian. The 68th Grammys honored recordings released from August 31, 2024, through August 30, 2025.
