Which comedian plays Migs Mayfeld in The Mandalorian? Bill Burr plays Migs Mayfeld in The Mandalorian.

Mayfeld is a former Imperial sharpshooter who becomes a mercenary after the Galactic Empire falls. He is introduced in “Chapter 6: The Prisoner” as part of Ranzar Malk’s crew, which attempts to rescue the prisoner Qin from a New Republic transport. Mayfeld is sarcastic, ruthless, and openly distrustful of the Mandalorian.

Bill Burr’s casting became an unusually self-aware Star Wars joke. Before taking the role, Burr had repeatedly mocked Star Wars and its fans in his comedy. Jon Favreau nevertheless offered him the part, partly because Burr’s public skepticism would make the casting amusing. Mayfeld’s Boston accent, blunt insults, and cynical humor also closely resemble Burr’s stand-up persona.

Mayfeld initially seems like a disposable antagonist, but the second-season episode “Chapter 15: The Believer” gives him a more serious role.
