Which cocktail combines gin, Cointreau, lemon juice and absinthe in the classic Corpse Reviver No. 2 recipe?

The story behind the answer

The Corpse Reviver No. 2 combines gin, Cointreau, lemon juice and absinthe in its classic recipe.

The drink is one of the Corpse Reviver family, a group of cocktails named for their supposed ability to revive someone after heavy drinking. Harry Craddock included the No. 2 in The Savoy Cocktail Book, published in 1930. His recipe calls for equal parts gin, lemon juice, Cointreau and Lillet Blanc, with a dash of absinthe.

The cocktail is shaken with ice and strained, producing a bright, citrus-led drink with herbal and aromatic notes. The absinthe is used in a small quantity, so it seasons the cocktail rather than dominating it.

Corpse Reviver No. 1 is a different drink based on cognac, Calvados and sweet vermouth. The number matters: recipes and historical references can differ substantially between the numbered versions.
