Chelsea scored three goals to beat Fulham 3–2 on the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
The match was played at Fulham’s Craven Cottage on Monday, 24 August 2026, the final day of the opening round. Chelsea therefore began their campaign with an away victory in a five-goal London derby.
Fulham scored twice, but Chelsea finished with one more goal and took all three points. Because the match was decided by a single goal, it was much closer than the 3–0 and 4–0 wins recorded elsewhere in the round.
Chelsea’s 3–2 victory was also the highest-scoring match of the opening weekend, with five goals in total. The result should not be confused with Manchester City’s 2–1 win or Newcastle and Liverpool’s 2–2 draw.
