Chelsea visited Fulham at Craven Cottage in the final match of the 2026–27 Premier League opening round.
The fixture was scheduled for Monday 24 August 2026. Fulham were the home team, making Craven Cottage the venue, while Chelsea travelled the short distance across west London.
Craven Cottage stands beside the River Thames and has been Fulham’s home for more than a century. Chelsea’s own ground is Stamford Bridge, so the clubs’ shared London location can make the home-and-away detail easy to overlook.
This match was the last fixture of the opening round because the schedule extended into Monday. It was not part of the Saturday or Sunday programme, even though most Premier League opening-weekend matches were played across those two days.
