Released in 2011, Revelations follows Ezio Auditore as he travels to the Ottoman capital in search of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad's legacy. The game's version of Constantinople is divided into districts and includes major landmarks such as Hagia Sophia and the Galata Tower.

The setting is historically situated in the early sixteenth century, during the reign of Sultan Bayezid II and the rise of his son Selim. The game uses political tensions within the Ottoman Empire as the background for Ezio's investigation and his conflict with the Templars.
