Milan hosts Milan Fashion Week, Italy’s principal event for seasonal fashion collections.
Milan Fashion Week is one of the four major international fashion weeks and is particularly associated with Italian ready-to-wear, luxury tailoring, leather goods and industrial design. Its calendar normally contains women’s and men’s collections at different points in the year.
The event is staged across Milan in showrooms, historic buildings, courtyards and purpose-built venues. The exact locations and participating labels change from season to season, so Milan itself—not one fixed venue—is the defining host.
Milan Fashion Week is distinct from Pitti Uomo in Florence, a separate menswear trade fair and presentation event. It is also distinct from Rome’s AltaRoma, which has its own focus and schedule within Italy’s wider fashion system.
