London hosts London Fashion Week, the British fashion industry’s flagship seasonal event.
London Fashion Week is one of the four major international fashion weeks. It is known for combining established British houses with emerging designers, experimental presentation formats and strong links to the city’s art, music and creative scenes.
The British Fashion Council organizes the event and supports much of its designer-facing infrastructure. Shows and presentations have used different locations over time, including Somerset House and other central London venues, so the event should not be identified with only one building.
London Fashion Week is also separate from London Collections: Men, the former name used for the dedicated menswear schedule before it was renamed London Fashion Week Men’s. The broader London Fashion Week title now covers the city’s principal seasonal fashion program.
