Which circuit hosted the title-deciding 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix?
Answer
Yas Marina Circuit
Answer
Yas Marina Circuit
The 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was hosted by Yas Marina Circuit.
The race took place on 12 December 2021 on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It was the 22nd and final round of the Formula One season, and both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships were decided there. Max Verstappen won the race and claimed his first world title after passing Lewis Hamilton on the final lap.
Yas Marina opened in 2009 and was designed by Hermann Tilke. The circuit became famous for its floodlit day-night races and its distinctive setting beside the marina, hotel and marina infrastructure. For 2021, the track was modified: several slow corners and chicanes were removed or reshaped to encourage faster laps and more overtaking.
A common mix-up is with the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, which hosted the preceding 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Bahrain and Losail were also 2021 venues, but neither hosted the season finale.
