Which character is the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Liberation?
Answer
Aveline de Grandpré
Answer
Aveline de Grandpré
Aveline de Grandpré is the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Liberation.
Aveline is a French-African Assassin who operates in and around New Orleans during the eighteenth century. The game follows her fight against Templar influence in Louisiana and her efforts to protect people affected by colonial power, slavery, and political conflict.
Liberation uses Aveline's three disguises as a major gameplay and narrative feature. Her Assassin persona supports freer movement and combat, her Lady persona helps her manipulate social situations, and her Slave persona allows access to locations and communities that would otherwise be difficult to reach. These identities are part of the game's depiction of race, gender, and class in its historical setting.
The game was originally released for PlayStation Vita in 2012 and later ported to other platforms. Aveline also appears in downloadable content for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. She is not related to the Kenway family, and É lise de la Serre belongs to Assassin's Creed Unity.
