Shao Jun is the protagonist of Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China.
Shao Jun is an Assassin who returns to China in 1526 after training in Europe under Ezio Auditore. She seeks revenge against the Eight Tigers, a group responsible for destroying much of the Chinese Brotherhood. The game presents her campaign as a side-scrolling stealth adventure rather than the open-world format used by most main entries.
Chronicles: China was released in 2015 and is set during the Ming dynasty. It is the first part of the Assassin's Creed Chronicles trilogy, followed by Chronicles: India and Chronicles: Russia. Shao Jun also appears in later Assassin's Creed material, including the animated short film Assassin's Creed Embers. She should not be confused with Aveline, the protagonist of Liberation, or Ning, a character from the China storyline.
