Eivor is the main protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
The 2020 game follows Eivor, a Viking raider who leaves Norway with a clan and helps establish a settlement in ninth-century England. Eivor becomes allied with the Hidden Ones and is drawn into the conflict between the Assassins and the Order of the Ancients.
Players can choose a male or female presentation for Eivor, but both versions use the same character name. This choice sometimes leads to confusion about whether Valhalla has two separate protagonists. The game’s narrative treats the variants as different presentations of Eivor.
Basim and Sigurd are important characters, but neither is the central playable hero. Basim is a Hidden One connected to Eivor’s story, while Sigurd is Eivor’s adoptive brother and a major figure in the settlement narrative. The game’s title also reflects its strong Norse themes, not a separate character named Valhalla.
