Simon Pegg voices Buck in the Ice Age films.
Buck is a one-eyed weasel-like adventurer introduced in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, the third main feature film. He lives in the dinosaur world beneath the ice and acts as a guide when Manny, Sid, Diego, and their companions enter that environment.
Pegg’s performance gives Buck an energetic, eccentric personality shaped by his dangerous life hunting dinosaurs. The character’s knowledge of the underground world makes him central to the rescue mission involving Sid and the dinosaur mother Rudy.
Simon Pegg is also known for films such as Shaun of the Dead and the Star Trek reboot series. His Ice Age role is sometimes confused with Louis, a molehog voiced by Josh Gad, or with the franchise’s core characters voiced by Ray Romano, Denis Leary, and John Leguizamo.
