Which character does Simon Pegg voice in Diabolical?

Simon Pegg voices Hughie Campbell, also known as Wee Hughie, in The Boys Presents: Diabolical. He performs the character in the episode “I’m Your Pusher,” which uses the visual style and continuity of the original Boys comics.

The casting has an extra layer of history. Artist Darick Robertson designed comic-book Hughie with Simon Pegg’s appearance in mind after seeing Pegg in the sitcom Spaced. That resemblance made Pegg a natural choice for the animated role, even though he was too old to play Hughie in the live-action series by the time production began.

Jack Quaid plays Hughie in the live-action adaptation, while Pegg appears there as Hughie’s father. Diabolical therefore lets Pegg finally portray the character he inspired. The episode also features Billy Butcher and a plot involving the superhero Great Wide Wonder, tying its comic-book-inspired story to the wider Boys mythology. The Deep, Stan Edgar, and Billy Butcher are all associated with the franchise, but none is the character Pegg voices here.
