Which character does Sadie Sink play in Stranger Things?

Sadie Sink plays Max Mayfield in Stranger Things.

Maxine “Max” Mayfield is introduced in the second season as a new student in Hawkins. She quickly becomes part of the central group, earning the nickname “Madmax” through her impressive arcade-game scores and proving herself as a skilled skateboarder and fiercely independent friend.

Max is also the stepsister of Billy Hargrove, whose aggressive behavior creates much of the tension in her family life. Her friendships with Lucas Sinclair, Dustin Henderson, Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, and Eleven give her an important place in the group, while her relationship with Lucas develops into a major emotional storyline.

Sadie Sink auditioned for the role in 2016 and learned to skateboard for the part. Viewers sometimes confuse Max with Eleven because both are central young female characters, but Eleven is played by Millie Bobby Brown. Nancy Wheeler is portrayed by Natalia Dyer, and Robin Buckley by Maya Hawke.
