John Leguizamo voices Sid in the Ice Age film series.
Sid is a talkative, clumsy ground sloth who becomes one of the franchise’s central comic characters. Leguizamo gave him a distinctive high-pitched delivery and exaggerated rhythm, making Sid immediately recognizable across the films. The character’s impulsive behavior often creates problems, but he is also loyal to Manny and Diego.
Leguizamo appears as Sid in the main theatrical films, beginning with Ice Age in 2002. Sid’s personality is intentionally different from Manny’s guarded seriousness and Diego’s initially threatening confidence, creating the trio’s contrasting comedic dynamic.
A frequent mix-up is associating Leguizamo with Manny or Diego because all three characters appear together in nearly every major story. Ray Romano voices Manny, while Denis Leary voices Diego. Simon Pegg voices Buck, the adventurous weasel introduced later in the series.
