Which Caribbean island is the home base of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag protagonist Edward Kenway?

The story behind the answer

Great Inagua is the home base of Edward Kenway in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

Edward, a Welsh privateer turned pirate and Assassin, acquires a secluded hideout on Great Inagua during the game's Caribbean campaign. The island becomes a place to manage upgrades, store resources, and return between voyages aboard the Jackdaw.

The game also features Nassau, Havana, Kingston, and numerous smaller islands. Nassau is especially important because it serves as a major pirate settlement, but it is not Edward's personal hideout.

Great Inagua is a real island in the Bahamas, although the game's geography and historical events are fictionalized. Black Flag was released in 2013 and follows Edward's involvement with figures including Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, and Bartholomew Roberts during the Golden Age of Piracy.
