Toronto is the Canadian city listed alongside Hamilton as a production location for The Boys.
Although the series is set largely in New York City, principal photography took place in and around Toronto, Ontario. The production used Toronto streets, buildings, transit spaces, and landmarks to create the show’s fictional version of New York and the corporate world dominated by Vought.
Hamilton was one of the additional locations in Ontario’s Golden Horseshoe region. The first season used Hamilton-area sites including Tim Hortons Field, while other nearby filming occurred in Mississauga. This regional production pattern is why Toronto and Hamilton appear together in location listings, even though they are distinct cities.
The show frequently altered recognizable locations with visual effects. Roy Thomson Hall, Yonge–Dundas Square, Lower Bay Station, and Sherbourne Common are among the Toronto locations associated with filming. Digital changes helped the Canadian settings resemble New York or fictional places such as Seven Tower.
A common mistake is answering Vancouver, another Canadian city strongly associated with television production. For The Boys, however, Toronto was the principal Canadian filming base, with Hamilton serving as one of the additional locations.
