Which Cambridge University college appointed C.S. Lewis as a fellow and English professor in 1954?

The story behind the answer

Magdalene College appointed C.S. Lewis as a fellow and English professor in 1954. The appointment brought him from Oxford to Cambridge, where he spent the final years of his academic career.

Before moving to Cambridge, Lewis had taught English at Oxford and had been a fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford, from 1925. His Cambridge chair was the Medieval and Renaissance English position, a field closely connected with his scholarly interests in medieval literature, Renaissance writing, and literary history.

Lewis remained associated with Magdalene College, Cambridge, until his death in 1963. The Cambridge appointment is sometimes confused with his Oxford fellowship because both institutions had colleges named Magdalene, but they were separate colleges in different universities.
