Which businessperson joined the British Dragon's Den panel in 2015?

The story behind the answer

Touker Suleyman joined the British Dragon's Den panel in 2015.

Suleyman is a British-Turkish entrepreneur and investor whose business interests include fashion and retail. He became a dragon during the programme's thirteenth series, joining the panel as the show continued to refresh its investor line-up.

His career was built partly through the fashion industry. He became associated with the Hawes & Curtis shirt business and later acquired the fashion brand Ghost. Those experiences gave him a background in manufacturing, retail, branding and product distribution, all areas frequently represented by Dragon's Den pitches.

The date is sometimes mixed up with the arrivals of other modern dragons. Nick Jenkins joined in 2015 as well, while Tej Lalvani joined later, in 2017. Touker Suleyman's appointment belongs to the period when the BBC expanded and reshaped the panel after several established investors had left the show.
