Which business group did Dragon Peter Jones found in the mobile-phone industry?

Dragon Peter Jones founded Phones International Group in the mobile-phone industry.

Jones established the business in 1998, during a period when mobile phones were shifting from specialist products into mainstream consumer technology. Phones International Group operated in the mobile-phone market and became an important part of his business career.

His experience in consumer electronics and communications helped establish the commercial background he later brought to Dragon's Den. Jones became one of the programme's most enduring investors and is associated with technology, retail and consumer-product deals.

Phones International Group should not be confused with Carphone Warehouse, the much larger retail chain founded by Charles Dunstone and Julian Dunkerton. Both names are linked to mobile phones, but they are separate businesses with different founders.
