Which business did the British Dragons' Den investor Touker Suleyman acquire in 2001?

The story behind the answer

Touker Suleyman acquired Hawes & Curtis in 2001.

Hawes & Curtis is a British shirtmaker founded in London in 1913. Suleyman bought the established brand after developing experience in the fashion and textile industries, and he later expanded its retail and online presence.

Suleyman joined the British Dragons' Den panel in 2015. His background in manufacturing, fashion and retail shaped the kinds of businesses he evaluated in the den.

The company is sometimes mixed up with Charles Tyrwhitt or Turnbull & Asser because all three are British shirt brands. Hawes & Curtis has its own separate history and was the business acquired by Suleyman in 2001.
