Steven Bartlett co-founded Social Chain before joining the UK show Dragons' Den.
Social Chain is a social-media marketing agency founded by Bartlett and Dominic McGregor. The company developed campaigns and online communities for brands, reflecting Bartlett's early career in digital marketing and social platforms.
Bartlett's experience building a modern internet business helped distinguish him from several earlier Dragons whose backgrounds were concentrated in retail, manufacturing or traditional consumer services. The BBC appointed him to the panel for series 20, which aired in 2022.
Social Chain is sometimes confused with Bartlett's later media work. His podcast, The Diary of a CEO, is a separate project and became a major part of his public identity. Gymshark, Revolut and Monzo are also technology-related British companies, but none was co-founded by Bartlett.
