Which business did Dragon's Den investor Simon Woodroffe create?

The story behind the answer

Dragon's Den investor Simon Woodroffe created Yo! Sushi.

Yo! Sushi is a British restaurant chain founded by Simon Woodroffe and known for bringing conveyor-belt sushi to a prominent place in the British casual-dining market. The concept used moving plates to present dishes to customers, making service itself part of the restaurant experience.

Woodroffe was an original Dragon when the BBC programme launched. His entrepreneurial background was therefore directly connected to hospitality and inventive customer experiences, rather than being based solely on television investment.

Yo! Sushi is sometimes mixed up with other Japanese-inspired or fast-casual restaurant brands operating in Britain. Wagamama, itsu and Wasabi are separate businesses. The name also uses the stylised spelling “Yo!” as part of the brand identity.
