Bentley won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four years in a row from 1927 through 1930.
The victories were central to the legend of the Bentley Boys, a group of wealthy British enthusiasts and racing drivers who campaigned the marque’s large, powerful cars. Bentley won in 1927, 1928, 1929 and 1930, with Woolf Barnato driving on each of the four winning occasions. The final two victories came with Bentley Speed Six models.
The achievement belongs to Bentley’s original Cricklewood era, before the company’s financial collapse and acquisition by Rolls-Royce in 1931. The Bentley Blower is often associated with this period, but it did not deliver the four-race winning streak; it was famous for its supercharged performance and was less reliable than the Speed Six. Jaguar and Aston Martin are also major British Le Mans names, but not the answer for this sequence.
