Tej Lalvani joined the British show Dragon's Den as a dragon in 2017 and is associated with Vitabiotics.
Lalvani is a British entrepreneur who became chief executive of Vitabiotics, the health-supplement company founded by his father, Kartar Lalvani. Vitabiotics developed and marketed vitamin and supplement brands, including Pregnacare and Wellwoman. That background gave Tej experience in consumer products, branding, distribution and regulated health-related marketing.
He joined Dragon's Den during the programme's fifteenth series, adding a younger investor to a panel that had already undergone several changes since the 2005 launch. His business identity is sometimes confused with that of other dragons who built careers in retail, technology or finance.
The Vitabiotics connection is the key distinction: it identifies Tej Lalvani rather than simply describing him as a television investor. His role on the show and his executive position at the family company are separate parts of his public career.
