Which British Dragon's Den investor is associated with the retail brand Ryman?
Answer
Theo Paphitis
Answer
Theo Paphitis
Theo Paphitis is the British Dragon's Den investor associated with the retail stationery brand Ryman.
Paphitis acquired Ryman, the stationery retailer, in 1995. He later expanded his business interests across retail and consumer brands, helping establish his public reputation as a commercially focused entrepreneur.
He became one of the original Dragons when the British programme launched in 2005. His background in retail made him particularly associated with pitches involving shops, products, branding and customer demand.
Ryman is a company connection rather than the name of a product pitched to Paphitis on the programme. The Dragon has also been linked with other businesses, including Boux Avenue and Robert Dyas, so those brands should not be substituted for Ryman when identifying his best-known retail association.
