Theo Paphitis founded the business group Theo Paphitis Retail Group.
Theo Paphitis is a British-Cypriot retail entrepreneur and businessman who became widely known as one of the original Dragons on the British television series. His retail interests included high-street and specialist businesses, giving him a profile distinct from Dragons primarily associated with technology or leisure.
The Theo Paphitis Retail Group brought together retail interests connected with his business career. Paphitis also became associated with high-profile brands such as Ryman, the stationery retailer, and Robert Dyas, the home and hardware retailer.
The name can be confused with a television production label or with a company founded by another Dragon. Here it refers specifically to the group named after Paphitis and linked to his retail investments. His role on Dragon's Den helped make his business background familiar to a broad British audience.
