BBC has aired the British television series Dragon's Den since it began.
The programme launched on BBC Two in 2005, giving entrepreneurs a televised forum to pitch businesses to experienced investors. Its format combines presentation, questioning and negotiation, with the Dragons deciding whether to offer money in exchange for equity.
The series is associated primarily with BBC Two, although the BBC has also used other channels and services for related programming and scheduling. The broadcaster remains distinct from commercial networks that have produced Dragon's Den adaptations in other territories.
A common mix-up is to identify the programme with ITV because both broadcasters have aired prominent British business and talent formats. Dragon's Den, however, is a BBC production in the UK, while the international format has been adapted by broadcasters elsewhere.
