Which brand did musician Levi Roots pitch on Dragon's Den?

The story behind the answer

Musician Levi Roots pitched Reggae Reggae Sauce on Dragon's Den.

Levi Roots is the stage name of Keith Valentine Graham, a Jamaican-British musician, chef and entrepreneur. He appeared on the programme in 2007 to seek investment for his Caribbean-style sauce, which was based on a family recipe and had been sold at Notting Hill Carnival.

The pitch became one of the show's most recognisable success stories. Roots secured a deal with Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh, although the precise arrangement shown on television was later subject to the normal business process. The sauce subsequently became the flagship product of a wider food brand carrying the Levi Roots name.

A common mix-up is to call the product simply “Levi Roots sauce.” The original product pitched on the programme was specifically branded Reggae Reggae Sauce. The business later expanded into other sauces, marinades and food products.
