Which Boeing Dreamliner variant is the longest, measuring about 68.3 metres?
Answer
Boeing 787-10
Answer
Boeing 787-10
The Boeing 787-10 is the longest Dreamliner variant, measuring about 68.3 metres (224 feet) in length.
Boeing developed the 787-10 as a stretched version of the 787 family. It shares the family’s basic systems, cockpit, and composite-intensive construction, but its longer fuselage provides more passenger and cargo capacity. The variant completed its first flight on March 31, 2017, and Singapore Airlines became its launch operator in 2018.
The three principal passenger versions are the 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10. The 787-8 is the shortest, while the 787-9 offers a middle ground between range and capacity. The 787-10 carries the most passengers but has less range than the smaller variants because it retains broadly similar fuel capacity while carrying a longer fuselage.
The 787-10 is sometimes mistaken for a 777 because of its size, but it belongs to the smaller, twin-engine 787 family.
