Which Boeing 777 variant was marketed as the “Worldliner”?

The story behind the answer

The Boeing 777-200LR was marketed as the “Worldliner.”

The 777-200LR was developed as an ultra-long-range version of the 777 family. Boeing used the “Worldliner” name to emphasize its ability to connect distant city pairs, including routes that could not be served nonstop by many earlier twin-engine airliners.

The variant features additional fuel capacity, strengthened landing gear, and raked wingtips. It entered service in 2006 with Pakistan International Airlines. In November 2005, a 777-200LR set a record for the longest nonstop commercial-airliner flight by flying from Hong Kong to London eastward, a route of more than 21,000 kilometres that used a special routing.

The 777-300ER is another long-range Boeing 777, but it is a stretched aircraft with greater passenger capacity. The 777F is the freighter version, while the 777-200ER is a shorter-range extension of the original 777-200. Those related names are common sources of confusion.
