Which Billy Strings album won Best Bluegrass Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards?

“Highway Prayers” won Best Bluegrass Album for Billy Strings at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The album is a 20-song showcase for Strings’ rapid flatpicking, roots-oriented songwriting, and progressive approach to bluegrass. It features his longtime bandmates Billy Failing, Royal Masat, Jarrod Walker, and Alex Hargraves, with additional contributions from bluegrass figures including Jerry Douglas and Jason Carter.

The victory continued a remarkable Grammy run. Strings had already won Best Bluegrass Album for Home at the 63rd Grammy Awards and for Live Vol. 1 at the 67th. Highway Prayers therefore became his third win in the category, rather than his first appearance in the bluegrass field.

Readers sometimes confuse the album title with the competing artist or with a live release. The 2026 nominees included Michael Cleveland and Jason Carter’s Carter & Cleveland, Sierra Hull’s A Tip Toe High Wire, Alison Krauss’s Arcadia, and the SteelDrivers’ Outrun. The award went specifically to Strings’ studio album.
